FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ1
What is OverWrap made of?
Overwrap is an engineered, 3-ply polypropylene fabric.
FAQ2
Does it matter which side goes up during installation?
Yes, it does. For Overwrap to both breath and resist spill, it must be installed “ink” side up. The ink side is the side with the logos and registration marks.
FAQ3
How do I address the ends of rolls closest to the core?
When installing, stagger one row to the next, and tape the rows of fabric together. This forms a floating protection sheet. Use masking tape (blue, green, or other) to seal the perimeter from any debris intrusion and stop the installation from shifting.
FAQ4
What tapes can I use?
Overwrap is compatible with a wide variety of tapes. In any case:

Use any common masking tape, duct tape, or similar to secure the perimeter in cases where tape contacts a painted or finished surface.

Use a dedicated seam tape with maximum adhesion for seams on installations where breathability is not so critical, and concerns for tape ghosting are not relevant. Apply dedicated seam tape only to the overwrap, not to any finished surface.

Use a breathable tape for all seams where breathability of the substrate is critical (polished concrete, finishes that risk reflecting nonbreathable tape lines (ghosting)). Apply breathable tape only to the Overwrap, not to any finished surface.
FAQ5
Do you provide a warranty?
Yes, Overwrap provides a limited warranty. Please see here.
FAQ5
Can I place Overwrap over a one-day-old floor still curing?
It depends on the drying requirement of the material; in general, the floor must be completely dry to the touch. Underlayments can be covered the next day to maintain cleanliness from jobsite traffic with no interference with the cure.

If concerned about ghosting of tape lines, utilize breathable tape.
